Leaving Neverland Series Art

This is a photo illustration I made for a series called “Leaving Neverland.” The title is definitely a favorite of mine because of its connection to the movies, Peter Pan and Hook. The series was about the final transition from late adolescence to adulthood. My job was to create art that was both, amusing and thought provoking for college-age students. The image is a play off of Peter Pan’s famous life philosophy, “If growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, I’ll never grow up…” I think to some degree, each of us has experienced this tension when becoming an adult and I wanted to depict that specific moment in a playful fashion.
